Ash Creek Homes enjoys contributing to the flourishing of Texans by building high quality homes that will last for generations. However, our desire to contribute to the wellbeing of the people in Central Texas reaches beyond the homes we build in the greater Austin area. As part of our company’s core values, we value Focusing on People and Doing the Right Thing, which means we love to step in and meet any needs we can with the resources we possess. In addition to building homes, we desire to build community, provide for those in need, and contribute toward the good of Central Texans in any way we can. Today, we’d like to take a moment to highlight a few of the ways we have accomplished that in recent years.

Building Community

A house Ash Creek donated and built for Community First! Village in Austin.

In 2019, Ash Creek donated and built our third and fourth homes at Community First! Village, a fifty-one-acre community of homes for people coming out of chronic homelessness in Austin. The permanent homes and people at Community First! offer affordable housing and a transformative opportunity for people facing homelessness. It has been an honor to be a part of their outstanding work to provide homes for unhoused people here in Austin.

Providing for People in Need

Food insecurity is a rising problem in Central Texas. Last November, we collected food donations at our Tanner Ranch model home in Cedar Park for Central Texas Food Pantry, the largest hunger relief charity in Central Texas. We want to thank everyone who stopped by to add your nonperishable food items to our donation! Together we provided 237 meals for Central Texans. An extra big thanks to our Project Manager, Wari, for dropping off the food!

Contributing Our Resources

Beginning in January of 2024, Ash Creek Homes staff will spend one day each quarter doing odd jobs and chores to pitch in and help our Cedar Park neighbors. Our first community outreach workday will take place on January 31. We are offering to trim hedges, power wash homes and walkways, clean windows, weed flower beds, and remove any trash for select neighborhoods in the Cedar Park area. We hope to help our neighbors enjoy the New Year in greater measure by pitching in to check a few things off their to-do lists.

Check out our Instagram account here to follow along with our efforts and possibly join us in future endeavors. We’ll continue sharing opportunities to serve and give in the Austin area in our posts and stories. Together, we can make a difference in Central Texans’ lives, which we all care a lot about!
