Ash Creek Homes is paving the path for women in the home building industry by promoting their award-winning Project Manager, Jenna Edge, to president of the company. With an eye for home design and a passion for preserving nature, Jenna’s committed to upholding the company’s steadfast vision of smart growth.
On Monday, April 8, 2019, Jenna Edge was named the new President of the award-winning, local developer and home building company, Ash Creek Homes. Jenna replaces original Founder and Owner, Scott Morledge, after 37 years of managing the company as the President and CEO. Scott is stepping back from his leadership position, but will remain an active contributor to Ash Creek Homes in the role of Development Director, overseeing all new land acquisition and development.
“From her start with the company, it was clear that Jenna is a natural leader, says Scott. “Our team is at a place where I have full confidence that they can take Ash Creek Homes to new heights while maintaining the values on which the company was founded.”
Building in the “Best City to Live In”
Not only is Jenna now leading the way for women in the home building industry, she’s also developing luxury communities in Austin, TX, the city just chosen by U.S News & World Report as the best city in the U.S. to live in. As Austin continues to grow, the real estate industry is booming and homes west of Austin in the Lake Travis area are in high demand. For Jenna and Ash Creek Homes, participating in the build out of Austin during this exciting time is especially meaningful.
Jenna says, “I feel very lucky to lead Ash Creek Homes. This is a company that has literally shaped Austin and the surrounding areas — we’ve built homes for hundreds of families. That’s a huge legacy to carry on.”
Shaping a predominantly male industry
Future projects for Ash Creek Homes
“Ash Creek Homes will continue to offer buyers a quality product with simple living at the forefront. Sustainable development of our creative communities has always been an important part of who we are and will continue to be,” Edge explains. “Many home builders our size sell to a national builder when the owner is ready to step back. Not us. I think that shows our founder’s passion and true ‘people-first’ mentality.”
