About the Schools - Outstanding School District – Ash Creek Homes

Thinking about moving to The Grove at Falconhead, Spillman Ridge, or Wildwood by Ash Creek Homes? If you have kids, then you’re in luck as each of our communities are in the sought after Lake Travis ISD. Your kids will have access to Lakeway Elementary School, Lake Travis Middle School, and Lake Travis High School. Originally a part of Dripping Springs ISD, Lake Travis ISD was formed in 1981 with only 540 students throughout K-12. Since inception, LTISD has grown to almost 7,500 students in 8 campuses. With lofty visions for their students, Lake Travis ISD resources to its parents and students that help that exceed those found in most school districts.

Elementary School – Lakeway Elementary School

Lakeway Elementary School, home of the Mustangs, is situated just off of Lohman’s Crossing only 3 miles away from The Grove at Falconhead. The school is made of kindergarten through fifth grade and has about 560 students across the board. Mustang Country was a trail blazer in the 2010 and 2011, earning an Exemplary rating from the Texas Education Agency. In addition to many specialty programs and community service opportunities, the school also offers parents a chance to view everything their child is involved in through the teacher’s custom website. On the teacher’s website you can find everything from a teacher bio, homework, all the way to curriculum and grades.

Middle School – Lake Travis Middle School

Lake Travis Middle School, home of the Knights, is just a stone throw away from The Grove at Falconhead located 1.5 miles away right off of RR 620. The school houses about 840 sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students. LTMS offers a variety of academic, computer literacy, fine arts, and elective courses all that are supported by academic resources such as Homework Hall, Tutoring, Flex Time, and CMC. In addition to academics, LTMS is also known for its performance in football, volleyball, track, soccer, tennis and golf. Parents have the luxury of using the LTMS website and locating each teacher’s home website. These websites contain information on course schedule, homework, contact info, and even grades.

High School – Lake Travis High School

Lake Travis High School, home of the fighting Cavaliers, is a quick 1.5 mile drive from The Grove at Falconhead and visible from the adjacent golf course. This proximity makes the commute to school simple and even a quick walk to the campus. LTHS serves grades nine through twelve and is a UIL 5A school with about 2,000 students. Lake Travis High school has several renowned programs including The Cavalier Band, Football team, Volleyball team, and Golf team. In addition to athletic achievements, the orchestra, choir, speech/debate, and theater programs have also been recognized through UIL licensed events. The school also has over 50 student clubs and organizations and elevated academic classes 25 Advance Placement Courses and 30 Honors courses. With its all-encompassing programs and academics, LTHS is a sought after school for both students and parents.
